    Default Alternative Essex Boys Mini Meet. Saturday 23 June 2:00PM.

    As a diversion in my advancing years, one of the groups of [car related] Old Boys I have a monthly drink with are having their "Biggest Ever Bongtree Vehicle Gathering" on Saturday 23rd June.
    The event is as a fundraiser for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and will raise money by charging entrants £5 to attend - thus we need as many entrants as possible.
    So - if anyone would like to come along: make it a Mini Meet for NSXs if you bring your NSX, make it a simple Mini meet for your Mini, your Jag, your whatever;
    the criteria is - if you get in it or on it, that's good enough and you're welcome.

    2.00pm until boredom sets in, 23rd June at the Compasses, Littley Green, Nr Chelmsford, CM3 1BU

    The pub keeps a selection of good, well kept beers and does simple food very well.
    They are running food in the afternoon until 4:00, so - a late lunch, social afternoon with an eclectic mix of vehicles at a cracking pub and timed such that the lunchtime crowd will be dispersing.

    Unashamed bump, as received tonight from the organisers of the Bongtree Pancreatic Cancer Research Fundraising Classic Car gathering next Saturday

    Hi Chaps - The above contains most of the details you need to know. However to avoid any ambiguity - the proposal is we meet at the Compasses, Littley Green from 2pm onwards next Saturday, the 23rd, to have a bite to eat - food served until 4.00pm- to enjoy a pint* and have a pleasant sociable afternoon.The idea is that most of the pub's lunchtime trade will have moved on by 2.00pm and we'll have plenty of space to park the dozens of cars the are certain to turn up.

    For the privilege of parking in this pub's car park / adjacent public highway you will be charged £5.

    The event is open to any classic car or other means or transport. The sole criterium is the ability to part with £5.

    Myself and the Organising Committee look forward to seeing you next Saturday and ask that you invite others that you think may be interested - the more the better.

    Cheers

    Rudolph Hucker. Bongtree CEO and Head of the Cat-Herding Initiative.

    *other beverages and quantities available on request at the bar.
