British GT Championship – Silverstone 500 Ft. Supercar Sunday

The race itself is on Sat. and Sun. but the Supercar Sunday display is only on the latter as it sates.

Based on the info from Mike last year, found similar package for this year as well.

It was nice atmosphere especially when you can relax at one of the lounge/hospitality while watching the racing action as well as the pit crew activities with the timing screen.

Supercar Sunday Display

On Sunday of the British GT Championship, we are planning a huge display of supercars. If you own a supercar, we will give you a pair of FREE tickets for the event to come down and take part in our display!
All you need to do email socialmedia@silverstone.co.uk with:

• Your full name
• Your address
• Details of the supercar you wish to display
• A picture of your supercar

We’ll then email you an e-ticket before the event which will give you access to the circuit, parking in the display area inside the circuit and entry to the private lounge.
Please follow this list for guidance on which supercars are eligible. If your car isn’t in this list you can still email us with details and we will get back to you with a decision.


Our NSX is listed as the eligible supercar for this offer.

The organisers emailed me back entry confirmation from their socialmedia Silverstone system within a couple of hours applying, that was on the 16th May.


And spookily at 4.30 today I received this email:

Hi,

Thank you for sending across details of your car for the Supercar Sunday event on 10th June.

Please find attached your PDF which will give two people entry to the event on the Sunday, and access to the private lounge and Supercar display.

So many things to be done and my boss is flying back as we speak after 5 months so have to move all the parts now.....

After an overcast and relatively cold early start to the morning it soon warmed up in time for the parade lap at about midday. I have to say it was without doubt the slowest 3 laps any car could have done st Silverstone, averaging about 20-30mph, health and safety gone mad I reckon and totally the reverse of our great 25 year annervsary parade lap tussle just 3 years ago.
Unbeknown to me I drove up with a completely knackered battery after starting it after unplugging the digital pulse charger, quiet an experience having to jump pack start it in the middle of a grid locked Blackwall tunnel I can tell you.😱
I thought I'd let you know Kaz that I managed to get back without cooking the alternator, good to see by the way.
I was pleased to see lots of smiley happy faces yet again looking around my Senna tribute display NSX.
I don't think I will ever get used to the lovely comments people give me about it.

Also, despite using LED, too many of them will add up for current consumption.

Joking aside, glad to hearing that you managed getting back to your place.

Hope your ACG is fine and just dead battery.
If it's a Honda one, should be covered under their warranty as I think you said it was only like 18months old.
