We braved the cold and stayed both days, to be honest Saturday was pretty awful very cold and driving snow. Oh yes Jonathan you were correct Great Hall, Market Place and The Daffodil were impossible to get into. Every one was in there to avoid the cold and snow. They closed the Members Carpark on Saturday and moved to the old public ones, they were pulling cars on in the morning , we left at 2.30 and counted 8 tractors pulling cars off ......

yup, safe to say it was a bit grim..... the worst snow i was out in on saturday was when we were doing a lap in the tractor bus... cold was an understatement, the snow was like clumps of cotton wool, and 4 or 5 F5000's braved the conditions for the demonstration laps....

there are 3 F5000 in this pic, 2 on track, one parked on the outside grass....bearing in mind there were 16ish F5000 there, only 5 went out....

Great credit to you and Sarah for braving the conditions Jonathan. I saw the red F5000 car come to grief on the straight travelling at no speed at all on the live feed

Goodwood are coming in for a fair amount of stick on various forums (including GRRC) for their preparation and management of parking. That's three consecutive events (incl last year's FoS and Revival) where there have been serious problems in the parking areas. Of course Goodwood have been unlucky with the weather and no one is suggesting otherwise, however there is a strong feeling that more has to be done to prepare the parking areas - forecasts and fiield conditions are known in advance of the events and provide ample warning of potential problems to come.

Goodwood has been extremely successful in encouraging people to drive their classic and exotic cars to their events and become part of the attraction.. .unfortunately this is going to change IMHO as more and more people see their pride and joy buried up to their axles in mud and being bodily extracted by tractors.
