    Hi Ary,

All UK road legal tyres have an "E" mark on the sidewall - have a look for that. If the tyres came with the car, and the car has been in the UK for some time then chances are that they are legal and bought in this country.

It is not uncommen for MOT testers to check the tyres for the "E" mark - I know my car failed on that when I took it for it's first MOT just after I bought it (it had Japanese tyres on it).

Do you not have two sets of wheels? - surely one set will get her through the MOT if it is due :?:

Then you can run the other set till you're rubberless and plead ignorance if stopped 8)

Actually both sets are OK, it is just that the ( semi-slicks ) look like new and way to mean for the street. With all these nice hot weather, I felt like putting them on, but would not if they are not for road use.

Cheers for tip Dan I will check them out tomorrow.
