    Default Which oil?

    Hi all,

Quick question we took our NSX into the garage today for a service and was advised that they are struggling to get the Mobil 1 10-40. Having looked on local supplier sites I cannot see it anywhere. So I am curious what oil are people are using these days?

I always use 0w40 Mobil 1, never tried the 10w40.

There is a 'Flash Sale" at Eurocarparts today only - 30% discount on all parts - use VIP30. Brings Mobil 1 0w40 New Life down to around £30 for 5 litres which is pretty good.

Seconded. Ester-based synth, vey good specs for the money.

Blue '08 FD2 CTR - big, ITR-sized shoes to fill...
Yellow '96 NSX 3.0 - oh was it worth the wait!
Black '99 ITR - well, I had to have another one, the first was so much fun. Miss this one even more than #1...
Blue '03 S2000 - SOLD, flawed but fun
Blue '04 Focus TDCi Sport - SOLD, very good fun for a diesel!
Black '00 ITR - SOLD, still missed
Red '98 Civic VTi - SOLD, probably still bombproof

Yep. I'm no oil chemist but the general consensus between those in the know is that both Fuchs Titan Pro S 5w40 and Motul 300v power 5w40 are 2 of the most shear stable performance engine oils on the market today. Both are ester based.
