Default A very English review of the NSX (NC1)

This a detailed 30 plus minute review of the new NSX (NC1) done by one of these youtube reviewers (shmee 150).

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usZ9tuYQiFw

The review is not just about how fast the car is but also looks at other things such as, boot space, how easy is it to get in and out off, Sat Nav, switch gear, etc, etc.
2005 NA2 NSX, Berlina Black with full red leather interior.
2016 NC1 NSX, Casino White Pearl with red semi-aniline leather and alcantara.

Great video overview of the whole car in general, I'm very impressed, particularly with the pro driver balancing the car on opposite lock through some pretty tight corners, fantastic.👍

But I've got to admit to being a little frustrated in Shmee in not blowing away that pesky Civic type R when driving solo on the track, I know I would have.😎

Very good review, looks very much European as in Mercedes/BMW/Audi on the interior and American . Audi on the exterior.

All in all looks very nice and sounds good too.

Many similarities to the NSX as well.

looks like Austin got the Quartic steering wheel almost right in the Allegro, the new NSX resurrects it ! haha

I'll dare to try to translate:

    - no real hint to the precedator Gen1.
    - they're surprised by the low realworld fuel consumption of the NSX (actually lower than the factory says).
    - they're also surprised by the high price (EUR 185k) for the standard NSX without any options. With the options fitted (only 11k carbon brakes?) on the test car it gets near to EUR 200k.
    - the tires on the NSX loose performance as their temperature rises which doesn't fit the NSX concept. It slows the NSX down quite a little bit.
    - the GTR feels heavier esp. at the front. The car dives under braking and during cornering more than the NSX.
    - the GTR still feels like a car you think you can beat everyone.
    - the engine of the NSX doesn't feel like a turbo due to the absence of a turbo lag.
    - brakes/suspension/steering on the GTR is built more conventionally.
    - on the NSX: you have to get used to the different approach. The brake point feels very hard. Porsche-like: variable ratio steering.
    - under the car they're disappointed by the view on the screws and optics. They think it could done better for a $200k car.
    - they think the NSX will be a rare collectors car while the GTR has a wider fanbase due to the price difference and the more know aspects.
    - for the price of an NSX you can buy two GTRs.

So overall, nothing really new in this quite good gualiy review. The NSX beats the GTR on the track even with the Conti tires of which they said they slow the car down when they get hot. The US reviews mentioned the same thing before.

Many thanks goldnsx, very interesting, particularly about the undercar finish with proud screw heads and such like. 👍
