pancake run 2016 pictures!!!

Another year, and we’re off to the welcoming arms of the Princes Arms (see what I did there??) for the now traditional Pancake Run 2016. Setting off from Kent nice and early we had a nice easy traffic free journey in the allocated satnav time of 4 ½ hours to arrive refreshed and ready for the weekend…..
……in no way did the journey take 8 hours, involve stoppages on the M1, M6, M54, or A5 including an amusing stint where the traffic was queued at the end of the M54, where there’s a roundabout, which was blocked by people ignoring the A49 ‘road closed’ signs for miles around, and arguing with the poor sap lumbered with standing at the road block telling them, that despite them being special people, they CAN’T go down the closed road!!!


Anyway, we got there, just several hours later than planned….



Soon found everyone in the bar!






The hotel carpark transforming into NSX heaven… well nearly!

with guest appearances from an S2000 and Porsche, with a jag joining us later!!




Much drinking (for some), excellent food, more drinking(for some) and to bed….. soon it was Saturday and breakfast was well under way when we eventually got down there!



And very nice it was!

And we were off on the first ‘stage’….



After many squiggly roads we stopped off for tea and cake! How very civilised!

Once refreshed it was off onto ‘stage 2’…

With a quick regroup before the entertaining roads….

And a nice cool down/regroup after while waiting for the unofficial ‘official’ photographer Jayson and Kare to catch up!

Then to the next pub stop…..

Where we happened upon the ‘Carver’ club doing much the same thing!


£35k new, now going for £50k... apparently! know what i'd rather spend that kind of money on!

After this the normal pancake run took a little of a sideways turn, and instead of the tunnel run we visited a charity Japanese car show, to add to their coffers….. I think we made quite a display!

Then again it was time to move, once large ice-creams had been consumed! Back to the hotel and prepare for the evening meal! This year, in another tweak, the pancake house visit was fore-gone in favour of the excellent Hotel food on the huge breakfast table, seating for 24!!!!








I did say excellent food…





The Sunday morning brought an early morning jaunt into the mountains, my sunday morning brought an extra couple of hours in bed!!!!!
