Default the NEW NSX at Goodwood FoS 2016.... and other pics.... obviously picture heavy!

not sure what section to put this, gen 2, pics, events????!!!!

with our well tested route around the FOS, after looking at the boring cars in the ‘static moving motor show’, what was to be the first car we should see at the supercar paddock... yes, the new NSX, like it was meant to be! Well actually it was the pop up NSX, but that doesn’t make for such a dramatic start!

The new was accompanied by an NA1 pop up, in some rouge colour, and a fixed light NA2 in the pearl orange. Sat beside these was a pearl red newbie, the only RHD in europe....

And then it was off to the Honda stand… again this year, as last year, it’s following the toybox theme, this time a fisher price garage toy, just slightly bigger!!!

    The original….

    And the honda stand….

The next morning we popped by the supercar paddock, and got chatting to the guy who looks after the NA1, and NA2, telling him the NA1 was obviously the best as it was pop up and auto, and just like mine in the carpark (except mine being a superior colour, obvs!)

He was nice enough to give me a little more access….

not great pics, but i couldn't stop the glare as it was quite dark in there!

He also told me of the fate of the original honda NSX collection car, the G reg one…. Honda deciding it was probably better to get a replacement car rather than put 3rd chassis on it! And the chequered past of the orange pearl one and having to get a rear drivers wing made for it…. and the amount of work done on the red NA1….

Anyhoo… they were under strict instructions not to break it, and did ask if Jensen had been behaving on the Saturday run!... the new NSX run was preceded by the classic pair, like a fanfare if you will, the na1, the na2 then ta-daaaa the all new much anticipated NSX…. Well, in theory that was the plan…. Of the 2 runs I saw, the old pair went up, the new was pushed off the startline, other cars went, the new then made it’s run….. here, proof….

Old, hiding behind a nice pole… with the new on the startline on the TV screen, just poised to be pushed back....

Not-so-old…again hiding behind a different pole, almost stealth like…

And eventually the new, looking glorious!

For the last supercar run, we traipsed up to morecomb corner, a nice slow left, a better chance to get a closer pic on the move… then my phone/camera battery went flat… and the new NSX didn’t appear anyway……
