No requirement for front foglights only for rear.

If you do remove I think you'll find a home for them if you dont intend to keep ...... might help to fund your upgrade.

I've had no probs with the MOT either, but I tape over the switch with insulation tape.
My theory is that if they can't see the switch, they can't try it, and then want whatever should be connected to it work.
If your fear of staying alive, outweighs the thrill of making the corner, brake.
