Nah... that's actually my car. Had the infield pass so thought I'd use it. The plate is a reminder of what I used to have, and who knows, may have again in the future.

Had a great day and spent some time chatting with other NSX club members. Oh, and the weather was kind to us on Saturday.

    Here's some of my pics.....

friday was wet..... cold wet and miserable, but a few hardy soles made it to the club stand....

so we went to the 'Wing' complex, paid £20 for an auction catalogue, and sheltered for a while...
the low mileage '91 JDM NSX was having a final professional polish

to say it was like glass was an underestatement

its after this that the weekend took a bit of a dip, and to a certain bus driver, consider this an apology for language on Friday, but it was an extremely trying time....

as i said, we had visited the auction at the 'wing' international paddock at Silverstone classic.... To do this involved a free bus journey from the infield to the international paddock. It was cold, it was wet, it was blowing a Siberian chilled wind across the flat of an old WW2 airfield, when for our return journey we patiently queued for a bus, huddled beneath our umbrella.

And lo, a bus arrived, alas it was open topped and understandably no-one fancied the idea of going 'up -top', so we waited for the next, but had made it to the very head of the queue. And waited.....

Then in the distance a bus appeared, drove into its turn around area, turned, and positioned itself carefully, and accurately, at the end if the waiting queue.... Alas the wrong end of the waiting queue...

We had gone, in an instant, from the very front to the very end of the queue.... Ok, slightly peeved, we follow the damp, and suddenly happy, tail end of the queue toward the bus, new arrivals now filing in behind us... Until we get to the bus..... To be stopped by the driver from entering as he's now full..

Unfortunately this is when I swore!!! we are now at the front of the queue, again, but in the line of people we are the furthest from the bus-stop, so right the at the very back of the queue....AGAIN!!!

eventually returning to civilisation, we tried to stay to see the musical acts put on for the evening, but after watching every qualifying session after 5pm be reduced to just 3 laps behind the pace car, and with hypothermia setting in, we called it a day at 6.15!

the fleetwood mac and ZZ top tributes sounded good at their sound check, so we were there in spirit! as we left, the matrix display told us that Paul Young was on stage at 9.45... fat chance of us surviving that long!

however this did lead to a very enjoyable evening meal with a large NSX posse at a hotel harvester, who very nicely had turned the heating RIGHT UP, gently steaming those nicely in damp clothes!!!!

Saturday was a far better day, the draw of a lap of the hallowed tarmac and better weather dragging NSX from far and wide to join the party....

by 9.30 most were there, rapidly filling the club area!

lots of meeting old and new friends, soon we were called to line up for our track lap, and after a frenzy of wrist band passes, we were off.....

....then stopped to await our slot! at least we gotta decent view of the later F1 car demo laps!

soon enough we were out on track....

lots of grins after, as we did manage a couple of blasts before catching up the other club parades! (some a little more, how shall we say, 'enthusiastic' than others, 'no-overtaking' going out the window!!!)

saturday weather was far far better and after watching the twilight group C race, the pyrotechnic emblazoned aerobatic display, it was off to rock with Status Quo, who it turns out, can play more than 3 chords!
