Still no sign of clutch slip despite 151k miles on original clutch.
    WOW!!
    What a beautiful car.
Great to see someone else getting fantastic clutch longevity. I've done 135k and thought that was good, but 151k is amazing, well done you.
i know one things for sure, when it does need replacing I'm fitting another OEM clutch for sure.

    Thanks

Most of the mileage was done by the previous owner, however I have never replaced on clutch yet on any of my cars, my civic vti had 170k miles on original clutch when I sold it! its out there somewhere still I think!

With Vtec engines as they are high revving I think its important to rev match, this saves the clutch and transmission....and engine for that matter, that's why I love manuals, my CSL although classed as manual will blip on a downshift when i pull the paddle back, although its quicker with no clutch work, for me its not as involving.....I love heel and toe in the NSX........nothing better than a perfect rev match!

Really rusty around the accelerator box....

Used some hydrate 80 as it stops rust and also adds a coating and drys clear. Will probably get the supporting and surrounding brackets changed at some point.

Replaced 4 bolts and washer....much better for now

Did an oil change too, silkolene race pro s 5 40, was going to stick with Mobil 1 0 40 but bought lots of silkolene last year when it was on special.

Cleaned and adjusted the ccu fan....lots of dust and doubt it was ever cleaned before, nice and quiet now. used some dry silicone spray to lubricate it, this is not sticky when dry so no dust can stick to it.

Gave me a chance to get all the dust out the crevices. Not happy with how the Sat nav I installed fits and looks in the navpod so looking out for another one.

Removed the front number plate for some cleaning,
the bolts to hold the plate surround on were rusty so ordered some new ones.....liking the front end with no plate.

On the plus side, very few stone chips for the mileage, but filled in the few chips, wet sanded and buffed over.

The headlights were very badly aged and the previous owner had a quote from honda for new ones...not cheap!
I already wet sanded these before japfest last year but need refining some more

Decided to start cleaning the wheel arches, alot of dirt build up, didn't use harsh chemicals but just some citrus degreaser and steam.

have to be careful around the rubber boots, started removing the black underseal and was going to replace it with clear underseal but it I don't think it offers better protection and due to the gap in the wheel arch I think black will look better, so for now removing any old underseal and will replace with new.

    Will update once its finished....

Fitted the sprayed manifold cover done by a member of the dc2-itr forum who specialises in wheel refurbs and rocker cover spraying:

Just need to work out what to do about the centre garnish now, may try spray red too
