I don't know. I like how the old NSX was, with the specs available. It would be nice if they can carry that on.

Isn't the substance of the new car more important than the way it is sold? I really don't care how they make it available so long as it's really good.
Seems it was a rather haphazard offer.
I called within a couple of days of it being announced, and the only point made was the anti-speculation one that I mentioned above. And the sales guy had no Ts+Cs paperwork for me to look over.

I've heard that Honda have in fact taken 122 Orders with the first 25 being delivered in 2016.
They are also hoping to have a pre production car at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show.
2005 NA2 NSX, Berlina Black with full red leather interior.
2016 NC1 NSX, Casino White Pearl with red semi-aniline leather and alcantara.
If mine doesn't come in 2016, I'll cancel the order.
No way am I waiting that long. That said I don't know if it's possible to find out what number order mine is.
I put the money down in August.
Some interesting information.
I called in Honda Chiswick today to check over a CRV diesel, after which I got chatting about the new NSX with the sales manager who claims the new car will definitely be here December next year and registered to the new customers (of which they have over 20) in Jan 2016.
He also made a phone call to Honda UK and confirmed the price will be set at £125,000 for the entry level model and there will be a hard core model later in 2016 which will sell for £150,000 but couldn't confirm it would be called a type R, which will target the Ferrari 458 for out and out performance and handling head on.
Apparently there won't be many dealers getting one as a demonstrator but they definitely would, so I know where I will be going come Jan/Feb 2016

That all sounds very interesting, so it is being pitched more against the 911 Turbo than the entry level 911. I think that is a very tough market area with some excellent cars around. I hope it is fantastic

I put a deposit down on the S2000 when they first announced it, and it was as described above - no real paperwork, no T&Cs etc. It was refundable right up until the point where you spec the car, then it's just like any other order. What you're buying - it seems - is the place in the queue by having the money down first.
£125k for the entry level seems a good bit higher than some expectations - and will put it within sight of the McLaren Sports Series, surely? http://www.cars.mclaren.com/latest/blackswanmoments. And a hardcore model later in 2016 targeting the 458? Erm, will there even be a 458 by then? http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...-twin-turbo-v8.
Looks like Acura are at least planning to offer the car with more than a couple of colour choices - http://www.acura.com/future/NSX#/7. What's the bet it goes on sale in the US for the same price in $ as £ in the UK?
