i went along today, not a bad show, though i really didn't know what to expect! they seem to be aiming for the more, how shall i say, 'flush' punter looking at the marques and cars for sale! some VERY deeply into 6 figures!

    this for just under £400k...

there was a DB5 convertable for £850k, and an Audi Quattro SBW rally homologation blah blah for around £300k!!!!

i thought the James May 13 most influential cars ever was good, with a nice twist at the end.

they had a 'avenue' through the middle of the show,

so we were treated to some moving classics, including a Lotus/Judd F1 doing a demo pass, with a bit of a blip echoing through the hall to help the LSD with the tight turns at each end!

there were a few classics too....

and not all the racing cars were at the NEC autosport show!

we had a honda represented in the James May bit....

we got to do a little star spotting, much to Sarahs delight, with a bit of a papp of James Martin over her shoulder, far too embarrassed to actually go up and ask him to make her a pudding!

... and the same again, but with a shorter, less appealing subject

as a bonus, after we left, we visited the 'cruising' show, apparently it's all about big boats!!!

anyway, this had the treat of Eric Lanlard making us chocolate truffles in a live cooking thing!!!

well, it helped take the bitter taste out of our mouths!!! lol
