that'll be Bluewater not wanting oily puddles in their events area or fire risk....

...it is an indoor show after all!

we got to Bluewater early to beat the rush, not knowing quite what to expect..... but we were soon in the hall (about 7th to be exact....) plenty of room to move!

the joy of indoor shows is the lighting...... so a quick dust over and wipe off with a damp rag!

soon filled before the public doors opened..

(the only disappoinment was i was against the wall, so the engine bay was a little dark... but hey-ho, people have flashes on their cameras!)

the show was over 2 indoor halls, and an outside parking area, everything from a mk 1 civic

to a slammed CRZ on corvette rims!

    a nice mix outside....

and an oh so subtley modified S2000!!!!

    supercharged V8 anyone????

special mention for this lil dutch CRX... owned 13 years! soon after getting it, the owner lost heart/enthusiasm/mojo for the build, so it sat neglected in a garage for 10 years.

in that time, he stripped and sold most of the bits, engine, interior, running gear, and was left with just the shell that was about to be sold. he sale fell through, and the owner bought a house with a garage.

the owners friend said he should build it up, and offered his turbo engine. when the build originally started he has blended and smoothed the trim, but in the intervening years, tastes had changed, but the body had already been modified so had to stay!

in holland spares are rare, so he had to go to honda for the bits... nothing major, just things like all NEW suspension, fixings, interior, lights, wiring..... nice and cheap as we all know! ( he got the last left headlight in Holland, and had to wait 6 months on back-order for the right!)

all back together, painted and on the road, after 13 years it was done! he drove over from Holland for the show, and took best paint!

it seems the 70's customising touches are resurrecting themselves, even pike nuts seem to be making a comeback....

hidden number plate system on the cards!!!

    mini-me was there too....
