    Default Mimms honda day 26th October 2014

    following from the Mimms honda day in april that Duncan gave us the heads up to, there's another in October....

    this one isn't in an airfield, but an indoor show at Glow @ Bluewater

    being indoors they want people interested to submit their cars for consideration...

    here's the schpeel from their faceache page...

    There will be 4 different areas for parking -

    Inside parking in the upper hall -
    Inside parking will be determined by a selection process. Please email detailed pictures and spec list of your car to
    ENTRIES@MIMMSHONDADAY.CO.UK.
    Please include pictures of any damage or rust to bodywork and any imperfections on the vehicle.
    Closing date for entries will be 30th September 2014. If your car has been selected, you will be required to buy your ticket promptly to secure your space, The cost for this ticket is £20 each car which includes entry to the VIP area also. Please note if you are travelling with passengers they will require a ticket to enter. Cost for their ticket will be £12.50 in advance or £15 on the gate.

    THERE IS A NO MOVEMENT OF VEHICLE POLICY IF YOU ARE PARKED HERE FOR THE DURATION OF THE SHOW.
    YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A DRIP TRAY (SUPPLIED) UNDER YOUR VEHICLES ENGINE.
    YOUR FUEL MUST BE TO A MINIMUM BEFORE YOU ARE ALLOWED INSIDE THE HALLS.
    YOUR BATTERY MUST BE DISCONNECTED WHILE PARKED INSIDE
    YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ARRIVE AT THE VENUE BETWEEN 8AM AND 10AM.
    ANYONE WHO DOES NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARK INSIDE WITH NO REFUND GIVEN FOR YOUR TICKET.
    PLEASE ONLY APPLY FOR ENTRY IF YOU UNDERSTAND AND ARE OK WITH THESE RULES.


    Club stand parking outside -
    If you are part of a club and would like to park together, there are club stand pitches available. You will be given a 10 car pitch which will be fenced off for you and you are allowed to hang your clubs banner up in this section. NO TRADING ALLOWED HERE. If you are caught trading by one of the marshals you will be asked to leave with no refund given for your pitch.
    The price for a 10 car max pitch is £30. This area will be closest to the entrance to the upper hall. Limited amount of space available. Each car/person will require a ticket also. Price for tickets are £12.50 in advance or £15 on the gate.

    First come first serve show area parking -
    There will be a section for first come first serve to park in the show area next to the club stands.

    Public parking -
    Next to the section above on the other side of the fence is the public parking area. In this section, you can come and go with your vehicle as you please with no rules in terms of movement or arrival times.
    Tickets to enter the show are £12.50 in advance or £15 on the gate per person.


    PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS ARE NOT UP FOR SALE YET AND THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL EVENT PAGE.
    THE SHOW WILL START AT 11AM AND FINISH AT 5PM. THIS IS THE DURATION OF THE SHOW.


    bummer that you still have to pay if your car is considered good enough, and no mention of the lower floor area!!!

    the choices are park inside in the show, outside in the club area, outside in a general area, and anywhere you like at bluewater!

    anyway, just thought i'd let you know....

    Warm and friendly as that invite is, I've checked my diary, and unfortunately I'm washing my hair that day. Each strand. Individually. With Conditioner. Followed by a 7-hour 'Pate Care Regime'. Otherwise I'd be right there to help them offload whatever tat they're flogging.

    Sorry to seem a bit dim, but what's it all about? I'd like to get out a bit more so might put my car forward, but won't bother if it's going to be a bunch of 20 year olds with modified civics and loud stereos. I'm getting too old for that.

    I know I'm getting old but I don't feel the need for a drip tray, and if my battery is disconnected my hearing aid wont work. Guess that's a "no" then from me
