    Default goodwood supercar sunday... 4/5/14

today was the goodwood breakfast clubs supercar sunday!

i was there in the hotrod, surprised they accepted the car after was going to enter both, then found i could only enter one... after i'd entered the hotrod! so a 6am start got us to the circuit at 7.45.. still too late as the paddock was rammed and everything was being sent onto track! it meant i had to pick my was through the masses of people meandering around the cars on the track! strange as they couldn't hear my loud V8 exhausts...

anyway... here's me on the track!

.... not out of place at all! did get a lot of compliments, my fav being 'once you've seen one ferrari... but this is something else!'.. always entertaining just standing within earshot of some of the comments! it usually gets a crowd around it especially when i start it up! today i made one americans day, tho he did say i 'was doing things to him no man should' when i blipped the throttle! those damn yanks lol!

and a pix of NSX there (because you've not seen NSX before), sorry i forgot to take pix of Prides red pop-up, and IOP MY05 NSX that was parked next to the Honda stand!

some of the other stuff there..... mostly cheap boring stuff

the bad luck award for most unfortunate incident of the day goes to this Aston....

for some reason the roll protection safety system deployed! it must have been near/on the circuit as the shattered glass is still in place! so new window... 2 new pop-up roll hoops.... new seat top trim or seat.... oops!

Loving the maroon 220 and the black Enzo...but WTF on that Aston?!?

Saw a few of George William's pics...2 Maccas there eh? Nice. Anything else properly interesting/exotic (i.e. better than the 599 I can see...)?
"No man with a good car needs to be justified"

Blue '08 FD2 CTR - big, ITR-sized shoes to fill...
Yellow '96 NSX 3.0 - oh was it worth the wait!
Black '99 ITR - well, I had to have another one, the first was so much fun. Miss this one even more than #1...
Blue '03 S2000 - SOLD, flawed but fun
Blue '04 Focus TDCi Sport - SOLD, very good fun for a diesel!
Black '00 ITR - SOLD, still missed
Red '98 Civic VTi - SOLD, probably still bombproof

Didn't realise this was on! Gutted to have missed it this year!

I bumped into Simon and Hayley and very briefly, Leigh. Sorry I missed everyone else - Jonathan, your hotrod is a thing of wonder and beuty, and was certainly getting lots of favourable attention. Shame someone had cluttered up the front seat with an NSX sun visor!

A few more snaps from me.....

I have't been to a breakfast club meet for a couple of years and whilst very busy indeed, the organisation has improved greatly with the advent of pre-registration.

    Busy-busy

I am not sure how Honda managed this, but I suspect it involved £££'s:

The title of 'least suitable car for a family touring holiday' is always hotly contested on Supercar Sunday, but this year there was a very clear winner....the Vanwall GPR V12, a recreation of a 1950's F1 car. This must be absolutely bonkers to drive on the road!

A car you probably could take the family on holiday in...this car is used as a daily driver!

If this is a real one, it is worth an awful lot of money:

The car I would most like to have taken home (with Y1 of course)...probably this one:
