I have a very clear recollection of one of these passing me each day as I peddled to school - same colour as this one (did they come in other colours?), I remember thinking at the time it looked quite futuristic!

Surely this advert is wrong on two accounts - it should be a 1972, (as pillar-less door windows were introduced after Nov '72, and the lower rear hatch for the spare was discontinued) - and as for the price, 14,995 GBP is nearer the mark, but still a lot of money for a 40 year old kei car.
Also, if I bought a new car with "delivery" miles on it, I would be disappointed if there were 678 of them on the clock......

There are a lot of daydreamers out there!

Quite a fun little car though - engine revs to infinity and like the NSX, lumpiness gives way to surprising smoothness once you get some revs on it.

Honda ought to bring it back as a less blue-rinse version of the Jazz to rival the 500/MINI/Edam etc.

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson

What a car is worth is ever changing and evolving, then changes with the perspective of some different eyes.
It's not really for anyone to say, how much a car should be offered for, or bought for.

All this silence about car prices is just a bit naff TBH.

Well I'm a honda nut and would be prepared to pay over the odds for a piece of Honda history and pedigree, but that price is just nuts!

An NSX-R could probably be had for similar money, albeit only ever so slightly less rare, and with more miles, but surely at the end of the day you pay that kind of money for a "great" car....not sure if this really is....

Saw one of the these pop up on tv lat night. The guy that does wheeler dealers trading up was in Japan looking to buy a classic and they had one at an auction, bet it didn't make anything like £75,000 ( maybe that in yen though)
in the end he bought an old celica and then lost over £2000 on it when it developed a fault and he sold it back through the auction. I did keep my eyes peeled for an NSX but no such luck.
