Thread: Low rev/load misfire

  1. Default Low rev/load misfire

Wondered if anyone could lend some insight into a problem thats developed on my car recently. It came suddenly, the car having not been used for 2 weeks (I know, I know..) then I drove to work. Symptoms thus:

No problem at all when cold, runs perfectly. Once thoroughly warmed up she misfires on low throttle settings (say 15-25%) when accelerating, worse at low revs. Its fine once you're beyond 3k rpm with larger throttle openings so not really an issue during fast road / fun driving (which is mostly what I use it for).

    Hope you guys can help!

    thanks,
    Steve

sounds very similar to a problem I had a few years ago.

there was lots of head scratching and not much else done by the first few people I had look at it, eventually I took it to John Coopers in Ferring (Nr Worthing) as their head echanic is a bit of an NSX guru - it took him about 6 weeks but he finally sorted it for me.

can't be any more specific than that I'm afraid
