you have to do that anyway, there's a seperate solenoid lockout which won't allow the stick to come out of park without the brake lights on, as well as pressing the button on the knob. much the same as the ignition key won't come out unless the shifter is in park...
Ok Jonathan sounds like the creative juices are flowing is it a mod you are thinking of taking on yourself?
My thoughts are to follow the thread you mentioned where a new centre shaft is made to take a manual knob so you could opt for a type R look with a shift boot etc.

I wonder if this would work from a Honda Legend?

Ah, you've found the source of bits for my NB1 proposal from around 2005...

“I find myself irresistibly attracted to cars that nobody else buys. The NSX is a classic of the genre because nobody buys it and yet it’s a fantastic car. It’s got a wonderful compactness and simplicity and unpretentiousness to it. Honda rudely continues to make them whether we like it or not, even though there can be no commercial logic in doing so — I thoroughly admire that.” Rowan Atkinson

Hi Goldtop, you still on the hunt? PM your number, I may know of something of interest ...

    Hi Goldtop,

If you are still in the hunt, then F-Matic is back on the road, if you would like to go for a spin when I get it back from Honda in a week or two.

    (bumping)

Now back in England after a fantastic 4-week break in Japan (where, coincidentally, I saw just one NSX), and I've got more time to view. I've been back in touch with those guys who had SORNed/etc cars, but am interested to know if there are any more owners thinking about selling?

Same story as before - nothing to sell, cash purchase, no finance, etc. Pre-facelift only, and my ideal is a black targa with around 50,000m. But all cars considered.

(Looks like I missed a couple!)
