Thread: NSX Wanted!!

  1. Default NSX Wanted!!

I'm looking for an early NSX manual. Mileage not important. Condition and Service History very important. Looking to spend in the region of £15.5k. Currently driving an S2000, this would have to be sold first or taken in p/x.

Any advice or suggestions greatfully received.

You can contact either by sending me a pm, or by email on:
    ali@thevibe.freeserve.co.uk

    Cheers

    Firthy.

    Hi, another "upgrader" welcome.

I'm sure you will find something on your budget, maybe someone here? It may however take some time to find the right one. Good luck.

Take a look on autotrader, at the moment you may be a little shocked as to what there is out there.

I've spoken to the seller of the one on autotrader which fits the bill (looks like a good one!).

I'm also seeing a vehicle this weekend (not so sure about this one as it might quite a bit of work doing to it).

Still on the look out though.

    Hi Firthy,

just had a look at AutoTrader and it doesn't look good for choice; just some autos and what looks like a very clean but expensive early manual. The one in Wales looks reasonably priced though but not sure what it's like condition wise.

    good luck,

    Cheers,

    James.

    P.s, make sure everything works!!

    Cheers for the advice.

I've spoken to the seller of the vehicle in Cardiff, he says that car is spotless and has full service history. The only drawback is that it's done over 90000 miles. Do people think that is too much for a '94??

I know I'm biased because I'm trying to sell my 66k 1993 FHC, but I'd be wary of owning any car which goes through the 100k psychological barrier whilst in your ownership. I know it means nothing mechanically, but cars are an emotional purchase IMO.

    Other opinions?

For the money you are saving, the mileage these cars should be capable of and the choice of other cars available I wouldn't be put off. The most you could lose on deprecaition is of course £16k as that's all the car is costing you.

Check the service history carefully, at that age it should have had 2 cambelt changes so far.

I would take that car over the 1991 for sale at £26k as the low mileage is not a concern for me, but for a purist they may prefer the 1991 as it probably doesn't come with PAS as it was either an option or not available, not sure on that year, the deciding factor on my purchase was colour so ??

Look at the car (look at others as well) and decide on that basis.
