Just in case anyone's interested, the bike pannier bag fit quite well, its close to the radiator fan (touching in fact) but the fan itself doesn't foul the bag so I think it'll be ok....

I think drum cases will generally be too wide to fit in, I do have a bike pannier which is waterproof obviously so might give that a go.
