Performance really seems to depend on the car and also how run-in and loosened up it is. As I've posted before, my car (3.2 manual) was owned by the Group Chairman of Autocar/Haymarket and Autocar...
I always suspected that I had a blueprinted Type-R engine back there!
Take a look at this: http://nsxcb.co.uk/testvb/showthread.php?t=3192 and all will be revealed!
If this link doesn't work look for the 'Service Kit' thread currently on page 4 of the Technical...
Dear Paul,
It's definitely quieter at idle so your waterpump explanation is probably correct. Thanks.
SteveyCaz, what are you doing down in Bordeaux? You won't get much Claret in the boot! It's...
Had the work done at Bexleyheath Honda (Dutton Forshaw):
6.5 hour's labour so total cost was £560 including coolant and a general checkover.
(Got parts from SoS)
Car feels good but is now...
Happy to oblige.
Must admit that the published performance figures always put me off a bit...then Mo gave me a ride in his 3.0, and the rest as they say is history!
The 5.7s to 60 apparently...
Subscribers get the mag a week or two early and with a different cover..
Good to see that Evo magazine have overhauled their 'Knowledge' section and restored the NSX and the NSX-r back to the Supercar section. They get 4.5 and 5 stars respectively, with 5 stars only being...
SilverSurfer,
Can't find a PM...
Thanks Simon,
I don't think I have those. I'll show whoever I get to do the work what I've got - there's bound to be a few other bits and pieces that I've overlooked!
Hi Simon,
Thanks, to answer your question, I'm not sure! I bought what SoS suggested would be needed. What do they look like?
I have 2 packets of 3 black rubbery things (valve gaskets) 6...
Ordered the waterpump, timing belt, valve cover gaskets, tube seal and washer head cover from SoS. All OEM Honda stuff in the original packaging..Took around 2 weeks..

Thank you Simon,
I've emailed SoS and will hopefully hear back from them next week. As I said before, I just can't risk using Dali/Mark Johnson despite his reasonable prices..
Has anyone used...

Hello everyone,
My 3.2 1998 manual is due a new cambelt and plugs service this year. I'm tempted to get the waterpump done at the same time. My local Honda dealer has quoted me about £1200 for the...
Got his website from Autocar today - www.rri.se
No data for the NSX but when you pick a model and look at the manufacturer's stated HP and what is actually developed at the wheels (which is what...
That's right Simon. It was registered as R462 ULL and owned by Autocar and then Eric Verdon-Roe (Big Boss at haymarket who publish Autocar).
Interestingly Autocar timed this car as 4.8s 0-60 and...
Thanks everyone,
I'll see what they can do tomorrow...
It's quite tempting to strip back to the bare aluminium and leave it like that, perhaps with a coat or two of clear varnish! Weren't...
I was wondering if anyone has any experience of Halford's paint matching service? Apparently all I need to do is supply the paint code and they'll whip something up in the shop...
I've a couple of...
Thank you. Very entertaining!
It didn't sound as though you hit top revs much at all. Shouldn't the porsche driver have pulled over to let you pass way before? You were all over him!
Dear 'NSX God' / Dali Racing / Mark Johnson,
Now that you're back from the grave (or wherever else you disappeared with your customers' money) how about answering some of the criticism you are...
I'm not convinced that they are legal.
Just because the seller says that they are and that he has some stamps, doesn't mean that they are.
Read again what the DfT say "In summary it is not...
I've been using a solar trickle charger for the last 18 months and this seems to work well, even if it's not too sunny. For any period of longer than about a week, I've disconnected the battery and...
You need headlamp washers if you have xenons fitted, these aren't the same as HID lights, although lots of aftermarket HID fitters/suppliers call them xenons. And bulbs filled with xenon gas are...
