Tom,
In my tenure the LH light occasionally didn't work, not to extent of blowing fuse though, always just came back on of its own accord. I think I still have a spare ballast/light unit from DTA...
Ahhhhh, yes, that might explain it - I only ever went to the Abbeyhill branch too.... they were always very enthusiastic about the car & getting the chance to work on it - worth a punt I'd say....

Couldn't agree more Jim.

Well done Tom, don't mind admitting it's given me a wee lump in the throat seeing your pic....
....but if you enjoy it half as much as I did you're on to a winner. Reckon you got yourself a steal...
Sorry to hear all that Jim, Chatham's have been prety helpful with me in the past, reducing labour charges etc, getting HUK to give me £1000 discount on suspension parts etc. However, I still got my...
Yes, this is my old car.
Advert now listed as "sold" though - who bought it?
Upgrades all done since I sold it - at that price would have been very good indeed!
Does indeed have FSH - no...
My auto BMW 530d did exactly this a few years ago, as you say fluids all fine, but clutch was indeed worn out. Cost me over £2k for a rebuild.....seems that's just what it costs! Might be worth a few...
You see a lot of this guff in classic car adverts too - cars described as totally original, time-warp etc...with subsequent details of paint changes etc!
Mine too ended up with a full respray when...
Number of owners not necessarily a problem - my '93 now on its 6th owner. Usually down to either change of circumstances (common) or flirtation with as many cars as possible! (a disease, and also...
Yes, my silver car required paint to the nosecone, but bodyshop ended up spraying the whole car as the correct paint didn't match exactly - presumably UV / pollutants affecting the original finish.

The club take really good care of all their cars, Derek (mechanic) is a stickler for doing things properly.
The NSX is just back from the paintshop having its coat rejuvenated, looks absolutely...
That car's got pretty high miles on (about 180K IIRC) but still tight. Think clutch might be non standard, heavy-duty as the CCC were getting through clutches every 20k miles at one point! (Members...
Jeez - how did you manage that? Mine took 15 months to sell!
Guess it's cos you're not up here; there seemed to be something of a psychological barrier for most people to come up - despite...
Jim,
Nice guy down Surrey way, name of Andy Flower. Had a '91 til a couple of years back (?C7NSX), now returning to the fold. Proper car nut, building himself an Esprit track car. He hadn't...
Simon
Know exactly how you feel - but I won't be going down the Lambo route sadly...:(
Like you I'll keep hovering around here for a wee while yet.
Cheers

Tim,
The NSX clutch does have a fairly high bite point. Is it slipping at all? Change to a high gear (4 or 5) at lowish speed and try to floor it up a hill, see if the revs fly up. See the...
If the Scottish one was mine then I've just sold it! ;)
Cheers

Temporary blip with the weather I'm sure Lee. Nice to see another NSX out & about locally now mine's gone....

Good one Jim, nice part of the world.
I'm told that Plod's a bit vigilant in that neck of the woods though :(

Utterly gorgeous 60's Maseratis, always thought the Ghibli one of the best designs ever (Giugiaro masterpiece) but that red Mexico (Sebring?) is so elegant.
Your NSX in pretty good shape too...
Hi Dave,
Found my old ones lurking in the garage.
PM me your address, and I'll post them FOC.
Cheers

Yes, fixed headlights.
Too busy admiring the car to get the plate
I'll have a wee look for mine too in case you can't find yours Jim.
