NSX-R Recaro Pole Postion ABE! - Group buy - A.S. Motorsport

Hello,

We're very please to announce we have finally managed to be able to have Recaro make NSX-R style seats based on the Pole Position ABE shell.
These will come as picture below just as in a NSX-R 2002-2005 without the OE price tag for kevlar shells.

Important to note,
These will use the same OE special outer fabric as the real NSX-R.
Made in Germany by Recaro them-self specifically for us - so no replica or knock-off item the real deal made by the factory.

We are now organizing a group buy to bring the cost down.
Minimum would be 5 pairs with no maximum.

The material is custom order and they need to be hand made at a special line in the Recaro factory in Germany,
Lead time as of now roughly 10 weeks after GB closes.

€1250 per seat - €2500 per pair

OPTIONS:
Carbon fiber shell (not kevlar) €1075 per seat, €2150 for the pair

We can laminate the FPR shells in the correct kevlar, please ask for a specific quote.

what about the seat rails required to fit these seats ... what is the requirement and availability of these and how much extra on top of the price of the seats quoted above?

Any NSX rail designed around the Recaro seats will work, for example SoS rails.
We are busy on designing cnc machined rails specifically to optimize Recaro's in the NSX yet this project is still in early stages.

As this would be a special order from Recaro would it be possible to get them to make the seats with the NSX-R shells?
I can't see the manufacturing cost would be any different, possibly a supply contract issue?
I have tried the Pole positions and find them a bit too tight for my non athletic physique :) but the downforce replica is definetly a more comfortable fit and I believe this to be identical to the R seats?

Well getting Recaro this far was a job since the NSX-R seat is licensed to Honda, the shell is pretty much out of the question.
That being said, NSX-R seats can sit quite tight, they are narrower than PP ABE or FIA shells as they are desigend for Japan.

When you install a genuine NSX-R seat in a euro/usa made rail you'll even need spacers, visa-versa a TaiTec and RFY JDM rail doesn't fit a euro/usa spec Recaro well and would need widening.
For those of us that are perhaps not as athletic the Pole Postition ABE is by far the best choice

have you more sample pics of the red seat as shown here at different angles?

Any chance in having the l/s seat, (for a USDM NSX drivers side) in the same material but in black?
