Since some days, I really had the thoughts to buy such a new car.
1 week before, one of my friends in Germany bought an NC1 with 'normal' front damage,(belgian preowner) so actually we are still busy with removal of some parts of the front compartmen like Hood, bumper, headlights and some Frame parts..
Finally I can say that the car is made to be serviced at a certified shop, repair into a Garage at home is nearly impossible, the NA generation allowed that til a certain point.
There is so much technic inside the car, thats unbelievable.
Also the Original NC1 parts can be ordered only at 3 places in Germany....for exorbitant prices.
So my interests for that amazing car are gone.
Last few days were a good lession.
Ive said previously that they should have learnt from Audi ... they have produced a ‘supercar’ and then constantly reinvented it, listening and reacting to the market, making it affordable through lease schemes etc, plus it can be serviced at your mainstream dealer, and not a limited handful who will undoubtedly be hyping the prices as Detlef has learnt ...
Such a shame as I would love to indulge, if only for a short time but its financially scary!!
Last Weekend, I have calculated the prices for a proper repair.
Only for parts 40.000 Euro
front hood incl smaller parts and headlights ~ 7.000 Euro (In USA, the bonnet will cost ~ 10000 USD)
frontbumper incl smaller frame parts ~ 8.500 Euro
7 Radiators/coolers at the front compartment ~ 5.000 Euro
fenders L+R incl windscreen and garnishes ~ 8.000 Euro
Airbags interior incl SRS module ~ 7.000 Euro
As reported Honda/Acura wont be able to deliver more NSX's to Germany in 2020, they cant be ordered anymore.
There are only 8 certified dealerships/workshops within Europe, who are allowed to sale parts and servicing/repair the NC1s
3xGermany, 1xUK, 1xFrance, 1xItaly, 1xSwitzerland and 1xMonaco .-))
Monaco seems to be the best place to bring the NSX for service.

Well, and lot of crashed NSX during that time period.
It might be a good idea therefore Detlef to start making your besboke carbon fibre body panels for the NC1. 😉
Well, there is only a small market.
As reported, Honda stopped to deliver NSX's to Europe for 2020...…..so no further NSX's.
In Germany the NSX cant be ordered since November 2019. Bummer
I can confirm that you can not order an NSX from the UK either, I was told that they have stopped selling them in the rest of the world with the exception of North America. I was also told that Honda Europe where very happy with the sales of the NSX across Europe.Quote:
