I'm working on an NSX at the moment for another member. After receiving the car last week I have been working on quite a few issues.
The car in question, 1996 Charlotte Green, Manual Targa

One of the first jobs was the antenna, its did not retract all the way and also was slightly bent.

I removed the antenna and dismantled it.
The internals were in bad condition and some of the teeth were rounded off.

I repaired the internals cleaned everything up and re-installed, all working now.

There was slight damp in the boot and after inspecting the problem I found that small amounts of water were coming from the antenna outlet pipe as it was blocked up.

I cleared out the pipe, disenfected it and re-installed.

The bonnet catch on this car was completely seized up and the safety catch was not working at all.

After removing the catch, I de-greased it and cleaned up the mechanism.

To spruce it up slightly I re-sprayed it, then added new grease and now the catch is working correctly.

This car had an aftermarket pioneer CD changer in the boot that was in my opinion poorly fitted.

The wiring was tracked inside the rear wing of the car, and was moving freely and I could hear it rattling round, even when I closed the door, I could hear the wiring rattle; the wiring the appeared out in the engine bay.

I followed the wiring through the firewall of the car, into the cabin and it ran up along the drivers side carpet.

It then ran up under the dash and was bundled up behind the carpet.

I then traced the wires to where it was taking power and discovered that first; the CD system was wired in using an FM transmitter so the CD signal only passed through via the antenna. I then discovered where the system was wired into and was shocked to see how bad and more important dangerous this was.

From what you can see, the OEM wiring loom was sripped back in places and the CD wiring was just wound round the loom and left like that!! No masking tape in places, no solder, nothing. So after speaking to the owner we decided the best method was to remove everything and repair the damaged cable and secure it correctly.
At the same time as doing the repairs to the loom, I noticed more wiring issues. This time it was coming from the aftermarket alarm immobiliser system that was installed. First of all the system was not working correctly and the actual siren was not working.
Under the bonnet the siren was fixed badly and attached to the crusie control

The wiring went into the fuse box and bundled up in there.

The wires continued into the cabin to the control box which was just laying freely in the cage.
I covered the control box in sound proofing, and then, bedded it in securely to the correct location and added extra sound proofing to stop it moving or ratteling round.

Like the CD changer the alarm was wired in a similar way, OEM loom cut and wires just twisted round, the track for the OEM wiring was also damaged and seated correctly.

I repaired all the cables, removed items that were not working and re-set the control unit so it now works correctly. The wiring was all tracked accordingly and the big block of fuses under the bonnet was removed and relocated to the correct place. For security reasons I'm not going to post the pics of that work.
Also while working on the alarm system, I found another old alarm system that was laying under the carpet and wasnt removed, with cut wires and bare ends.
But now under the hood looks the way it should:

The owner wanted the brakes looked at and decided to upgrade the pipes and pads. At the same time we decided to re-build the calipers.

With the brakes and lines being replaced. The fluid reservoir drained naturally. What I found after it drained was some gunk and quite a bit of dirt in the container and float.

I removed the filter and cleaned out what was left with an oil suction syringe. Brakes are now ready for a clean flush and re-fill

After speaking to the owner about some more issues with the interior, he decided to go with a change of color. The tan carpets were quite bad with dirt and grime and I tried to clean it up first but it was a no go. So here is what I decided to do.
This car had the tan interior with tan carpets etc.
First step was to remove the seats and take out the carpet: I found quite a bit of dirt, sweets, pine needles, pet hair, stones, coins, pen and even a stanley knife under the carpet lol

After cleaning; the carpets went through a dying process, as the carpets were tan, more dye than usual was applied to give a better affect. While the carpets dried, I took to cleaning up the floor and getting rid of any dirt/stones/grime etc.
Then following day I installed the carpets and seats and this is how it's looking now:

I'll leave it at this for now, as I'm currently working on the the coolant pipes, exhaust, detailing and so forth in a few days. Sory for any bad spelling lol
Very impressed with the high standard of work there Sudesh. I am a little like this myself and will spend ages getting things just how they should be. Especially like the job on the carpets, look so much better in black.
That coolant hose is allegedly on its way to you but not had a tracking number yet so cant say exactly when it will land.

The carpet turned out well, it took more dye than I thought due to the color, but the final look is fantastic. I also done the door speakers as they were scuffed and marked heavely. I removed the speaker covers and tried to clean them up but, they were too embedded with marks and grime. So I changed the door speaker covers to black which revived the whole look and in my opinion still looks great with the black and tan interior. I also had to change the foot well heater vents, to black, the interior fuse box cover, bonnet pull and other small item that would usually be tan on this combination.

After stripping I cleaned the wipers with a tac cloth then prepared them for priming, when that stage was complete, I coated the wipers in 3 layers of black paint, then 2 layers of lacquer.

Like quite a few NSX's this one was showing signs of condensation in the tail lights. First thing I noticed was someone was already at these lights and had drilled holes at the top of the lights.

Now I know when some of us do the fix, we drill holes at the bottom, so my guess is that the holes at the top didnt help any with keeping water out and condensation.
So I sealed up the holes and took out the lights:
