Some more updates on Andrews car
He was using just the standard momo horn button and trim ring with a Honda Decal I made for him at the time, but the more he seen my NSX-R button the inevitable happened lol
Only thing I needed to add was NSX-R type hex bolts as the ones Andrew had received were silver an wouldnt look right.
So before

Youll notice in the above pics the two different speedo fascias, basically while Andrew was on his US journey, he picked up a set of chrome/billet gauge rings.
Anyway these just didnt look right [to me] on the already bright silver fascia, there just seemed to be a bit too much going on lol
So decided to try/test the black plasti dip to give new a appearance as I knew black would make the rings stand out better.

She scrubs up well interior wise now ... LOL!
honestly mate you have done a great job ... Defo the horn button makes a difference and an interesting take on the black with the rings in the cluster ... Looks very well I think ... The rings give it that retro look.
the whole interior has been completely lifted now very pleased with the results too ... It looks great in the pics, but then it would need to with the investment made in there - time and money
BTW, you goin mad on that plasti-dip stuff?
will 'red' be black the next time I make it up?! ; )
Many thanks!
Tried calling you earlier to explain about the fascia but phone just rang out, so pressed on with the work. The fascia can be reverted back to silver easy enough as you can peel an edge of this stuff, then just keep stripping it off.
But trust me, the silver fascia with chrome duals looked terrible, doesn't work right a d didn't blend right. So I remembered my M5 speedo and recalled it worked well because the fascia was black, but dials were grey and the rings were a matt/titanium look.

Just had one can of pasti dip, so may as well use the stuff and test the longevity, it will be fine on the fascia as it can't be touched or marked, still not sure if it will last on the wipers but they are on my car now so will be tested. I do like the finish it leaves though, nice texture and can only properly be seen in the flesh.
Are you saying my car has been infiltrated/tainted by ideas from those tedious 3 letters brand?!!
im shocked and appalled ... My credibility as a *** hater has taken a huge dent! LOL
BTW my phone has zero charge in it today ...
it looks really good sudesh. much better than the bright silver fascia, as the silver rings make the gauges stand out and when you look
at the dash together with the interior, it all goes together very well : )
you've done a very good job on andrew's car, it looks surperb!
that plasti dip looks great stuff. you can try it on the alloys next lol ; )
can you get it in chrome? would love to do up my rx8 alloys in chrome.
