Good effect Sudesh but won't the vinyl peel off with the heat of the engine bay?
Not entirely sure on that. I have had 2 bits in the engine bay wrapped for about 2 years now and it hasnt peeled. The outside temp here today is 28, I have had the car sitting out in the sun and had engine to operating temp and left it for 25mins as a quick test, then was away for an hours drive, at the moment alls good.
At then end of the day it's just vinyl, if it peels then I ain't bothered as its stuff that been laying in the garage, and only took me an hour to fit, easy enough to put on and will be easy for me to take off if need be. But at the moment it's perfect and looks the business! Just want to put my NSX-R back on now.
interesting mod!
as you say it should look well when u get your engine cover back on
hopefully the wrap stays on ... but a day like today is a pretty good test :)
Thanks Andrew!
Heat here is something else, noticed the tar melting on a few country roads lol
Done it with the wrap to save on stripping parts out, masking and spraying. At the end of the day, it's just to dull down the engine bay as per the NSX-R and make the engine itself more visible, as apposed to the red bay being more visible, looks allot better when using the mesh engine cover too.
And it can all be reversed if needed.
Wait till you see the new NSX-R engine covers! I have seen the complete carbon one and might run it on my own car for show purpose for a bit, already have 5 on order lol should all be ready very soon, have one for you too and just looking into the NSX-R prop bars for them.
As regards the wrap, it's been 100% fine so far, have been driving the car every day since I installed it, no problems at all with it peeling!
New item for my car is the NSX-R battery, NSX-R battery covers and base, the top securing bar and the side stay bars etc.

To be honest, nothing overly special, battery is smaller and a bit lighter. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing unique about the battery at all and its shared with other Honda models and can also be purchased outside of Honda at most motor factors, but I purchased this direct from a dealer as it was cheaper and has the Honda logs.
The NSX-R battery box setup and top securing bar, believe it or not, is shared with a well know SPECIAL US model! Im sure most can guess what its is.........
So I got that direct from the US and the stay bars you can buy at your local dealer, again shared with another Honda model.
So although all parts are listed for the NSX-R, in this instance all can be purchased easy enough and cheap enough.
