For all the UK drivers travelling over on the Saturday morning.

Just spoken with Paul (Senninha) to discuss what to do about the tunnel crossing. There is a train at 6.50am, we thought it might be an idea if we met up in advance in the car park at 6.15am and get a coffee first, then we can all get on the same train.

We could either book the tickets in advance as a group booking, or individually, as I understand that some people may have Tesco Club vouchers that they want to use.

We need to sort this out asap to ensure that we get a space on the correct train, and also the ticket prices seem to be increasing.

Thoughts please.

We would have to book a set time for the return trip. Around 5pm so we can go somewhere on the Monday maybe.

I wouldn't mind have a look round the F1 complex before we leave on Monday (if we can get near it). And maybe we could stop at Spa on the return leg on the Monday?

(I think this has been dicussed but couldn't recall where)

Just need to calculate the 'ring to Spa time and Spa to Calais time. Surely a return between 5-6pm should be do-able without turning the last km's into a sprint.

If nothing changes then I'm happy with the group booking idea. Do we need to pay you Ian or direct to Eurotunnel?

It should take less than 2 hours to get to Spa and then 3 and half hours back to Calais, so if you say we have lunch at Spa and leave about 2:30pm then drive back to Calais (arriving at the tunnel approx 6), so I would recommend a train at aprrox 7pm. So we would be back in blighty before 7pm.

Q1. Catch 6.50am train from uk, return on approx 7pm train.

Q2. Catch 6.50am train from uk, return on approx 5pm train.

Q3. Book tickets individually.

FYI, If you book a later crossing they will let you travel back earlier if there is space, should be no problem on a Monday?
I think a group booking needs to be 15 or more, I don't think there are enough of us for that.

if we book 7.20 return and we are early we can always try to get on the 6.50 or before , better this way round than the other , if that makes sense

06.50 out & 20.20 return....19.20 return will cost £110 now but if you book the 20.20 it will cost £99. They usually fit you on an earlier crossing if there's space, so shouldn't be a problem getting back earlier if necessary....

I think it was Short Stay. If you speak to them on the phone, they will tell you the cheapest way of travelling.

Short stay works out a lot cheaper. Just booked for Classic Le mans out Thursday back Monday for 110 quid

A few car magazines from Holland might join us on the road trip for a NSX special.

Although this is not yet 100% set the chance are the will come.
