Well spotted! I was just returning from Redstar (Robert Coates aka Tyreman) who did my MOT....passed with flying colours without cats!! (MOT ran out 2 months ago and forgotten all about it until I had to rnew my road tax this month.)
I am up for a mini meet!! The Lodge?!?
SS
Just seen a fixed light model on the A12.
Not sure of the colour, could have been Silver but the sunlight was horrendous.
This time it was me :)
My BeeEmm lunched it's water pump last week and I've been forced to use the NSX as daily transport. Ohh the hardship.
I was going down to Hastings to see another car. Now don't laugh but I've bought myself a Citroen CX... a 1986 Series 1 CX 2500i Pallas Auto to be exact.
I've always had a thing for them and saw this one on ebay described as near concours (which it isn't) but it is nice and will cure me once and for all.
Pretty much as far removed from an NSX as you can get but it is another anti-establishent option. I suspect it might be a tad less reliable that the NSX :)
Mark
Mark,
I remember driving one of these big old armchairs way back when. One of the most bizarre experiences at the wheel. Hope it doesn't prove to be a money pitt for you, however I feel between this and the BMW, the NSX will see even more use ;)
regards, Paul
....spotted 3 Lambourghini Countach in convoy travelling northbound on the M1 near Donnington Sat evening, 2 red & 1 white....don't see one for ages then you see three in a row...like busses...
Spotted a purple NSX on Friday, i squealed like a little girl.
I was on my way to Bristol at the time, think it was off of the M4 somewhere.
Mark, have you pics of your classic magic carpet ride automobile ! :) Does it have those front lights that turn with the steering wheel. Unbelievable that Citroen thought of this over 20 years ago and the Germans/other manufacturers only just started to fit em as an option a fews years ago!
Spotted a Black JDM NSX on the A20 between Seal and Borough Green going towards Sevenoaks at about 7:40 this morning. Might of been the one that came to the South East mini meet a few weeks back?
My boss witnessed some 'spirited' driving on Wednesday evening by a red NSX on the A33 near Chineham (Hmmm Red NSX, Chineham, tall driver, very noisy exhaust....)
James,
You're thinking of the Series 2 DS models (1968-75), the CX had fixed lights. My DS is a series I so fixed non-enclosed lights.
Mark - if yours is a Series I it'll have that fab rotating drum speedo. Such a shame they made normal dials after that...
Sorry for the anoraksia. I'll post some pics of my big Cit once it sees daylight - next week hopefully - right after I've got myself a life.
Graham
Friend phoned to say he has just seen a black NSX on A34 - reg plate ending in NSX - the only other one he has seen on the road being mine
Kevin or the ForumAdmin, would it be possible maybe to have this "spotted thread" split into regional areas or counties or somethng similiar? I'm not trying to do your job, which everyone here very much appreciates, just that this thread will grow and grow and eventually will so long, its take ages to get to the latest threads? Just my 2p! Keep up the grand work. :)

????
If you click on the little downwards pointing arrow at the left of the thread title it takes you to the first unread post....no scrolling required.
James, Graham's correct it was the DS had the headlights that swivelled with the steering. Now if ever a car was ahead of it's time, the DS was!
My CX still has the magic carpet ride though, especially since I replaced the front "spheres" (sort of equivelent to dampers) and "accumulator" (of main hydralic pressure). Dead easy as well, took alll of 20 mins :-)
Graham, yes mine is a late model Series 1 with the rotating drum intrumants, here are a couple of pics...
Mark,
That's truly fab, love it! Nice to see a really well-kept one, they're becoming pretty rare. Citroen returning to form with the C6 but NSX-like rarity....

Spotted a red ( funny old thing) NSX heading north on A1 towards Biggleswade on the 22 Sept.
Anyone?
Jim
Mark,
My dad specialised in CX sales for about 10 years (then XM now C5/6) so I have driven my fair share when I was younger working for him in the holidays.
Love that CX Turbo 2:D
Hate that LHM fluid:eek:
Enjoy it!
Steve,
There must be nother NSX in Basing, I have my standard exhaust on so it is very quiet:laugh:

Actually come to the spotted thread to post about my amazing sightings on Sunday:
Ford RS200
Lancia Stratos
Ford GT40
All race decalled up and going east on the M40.
Saw a yellow murcialargo as well but that's pretty common amongst thes others!
L*
Oh no NSXs incidentally!
I wonder if the Stratos was a real one or replica...real would be rare as rocking horse sh** How much would a real one be worth £££££££££'sss
I've only ever seen another and that was a replica worth about 30k I think:eek:
The RS200 must have been worth a fair whack as well - it had the big spot lights on the front and all!
Probably on there way home from the Rally show at Castle Combe on Sunday.
I was driving back from an aborted meeting with a customer, generally feeling a little antagonistic. Stopped at some traffic light, pulled away and kept it in second until I'd ascertained which direction the camera was pointing opened it up a bit. just as I put my foot down I noticed a Red/black NSX with early four spoke wheels on the opposite carriageway sat in traffic. So who was in Taunton today??
Cheers,
James.
Saw a dark coloured NSX last night at around 18:30 on the roundabout at jct 17 off the M4.
Well that's 2 more added to the database, both fixed headlight versions.
Blue seen in Wilmslow this afternoon (old style plate).
Orange seen in Frome this afternoon (L reg personalised, not NSX).
Twas me James, I had just been into town visiting my Nan like a good grandson should and as the weather was brilliant I broke the car out of the garage for a run.
I actually heard you before I saw you, it sounded good on full chat! :) Has the car got a standard exhaust setup?
Must say I liked the look of the wheels, they complement the blue body very well imo.
Cheers Pete.
Gumballs NSX caught the eye of my good lady today.
Sat in a small queue of traffic it just stood out so much from all of the other cars. She commented on how "amazing" it looked.
Clean as a whistle too.
Hi Pete,
good to finally have another NSX owner in the SW. The nearest NSXCB member to me is in Bideford. Maybe we can meet up in the future.
Yep, the Tubi's on and the car sounds as it should. I had fun with the tail pipes though; I got some made up which were copied from the tubi ones.
When they were fitted one pipe was longer than the other so I took the car down to the fabricators and they spend a couple of hours welding extra pipe on. I'm really pleased with the result and the time and effort they took to get the job done properly.
If anyone is looking for exhaust work in the SW I'd recommend them.

Hi James,
Yep would be good to meet up sometime and perhaps you can enlighten me in all things Tubi ! :)
Cheers Pete.
No longer the only NSX in Bournemouth?
Excited call from my wife to say red targa D1 NSX in Bournemouth Hospital car park.Anyone known to us??
Red.
H7 NSX
Sudbury to Braintree this evening.
I was a couple of vehicles behind you.
Looked nice.
My wife took a couple of photo's on her phone.D1 looks immaculate with red colour matched brake callipers and has a (transfer?) black body line allong both sides at mid point.I assume the owner is not a member?
