Another beautiful service!

While in there, have a look at the MTF strainer to check the level of metal dust inside the MT case.

I wish I could have that beautiful latest spec ABS module under the bonnet that can be seen in the earlier post ...
Something to be done for the future...
I still haven't managed to install my Type-R clutch pedal, damper less joint, etc...

Keep us updated on the progress as I still learn new things even now by watching these photos.

Yeah Ary, thats a really good pointer, I had the fill plug loosen slightly before draining.

Flusing of the transmission

I have a little system I put together for flushing the transmission

Pipe and seal installed in fill plug

The pipe runs to this little container that also has a sealed end to stop dripping

I just fill the container and let the flush do its thing

To flush the gearbox some more I sealed the drain plug, filled the gearbox with new MTF3, and drained again. Once that was done draining, I replaced both fill and drain plugs with new OEM crushed washers, installed bolts and torque to OEM settings. Fill transmissiom and Job done!

One of the first things I noticed when the car arrived was the cheap ebay style front badge, it was also retaning moisture and just looks terrible on such a nice car.

Interesting to see how they changed the style of badge on the facelift cars! Facelift badge is open/empty
pre-facelift is closed and the badge has the color set into it.

Also alot cheaper than pre-facelift

The battery mount as mentioned here: http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/testvb/showthread.php?t=7352

Was bad and corroded and as I mentioned not very safe.

So I removed the old mount and as you can see its quite bad with the protective covering completely perished.

I have a new OEM mount to install.

I also removed the battery completely to inspect the tray as they usually retain water and dirt.

This is due to the drain hole being slightly high
