whilst i had the door apart, i wanted to repaint the door switch panels, so these were removed and given a blast to remove the previous paint layers... they had already suffered the wrinkle effect, and subsequent peeling off of the chrome layer...

(i suspect the metallic (thick) plated layer was put on at the factory as the plastic seems to have air pockets in the structure, and small micro-blisters can form in the paint if it's been in the sun, the metal layer nicely preventing this until it finally gives up one day and ripples!)
anyway a good coat of 2 pack primer coupled with the sand blasted finish should keep this at bay for a while....

(quick aside , I've decided my brakes are lacking, so just ordered myself a set of stoptech brake discs, so they will be going on when they arrive!)
