Japfest 2014 SW convoy.

This is the south-west convoy thread for Japfest. Meeting times as follows; anyone wishing to meet at an additional location, please add below with a corresponding time.


M5 Bridgwater (junction 23) - 7.00am - (Location = From Taunton direction; head to roundabout after exiting motorway, then take third exit back towards motorway)

M5 (junction 21) - 7.15am WSM. (Location = left off motorway! Then right off next roundabout to Morrisons car park.

M4 (junction 18) - 7.40am est. (Location = After exiting M4, bare left for 100 yards, then take first right).

Regarding the M4 J18 rendezvous location, you seem to be describing the lay-by on the minor road that goes off right from the A46 through Tormarton to Acton Turville. Where we have met before is on the northbound A46, in the lay-by just after the junction with the Westerleigh/Tormarton roads. We then carry on north up the A46 towards Old Sodbury then turn right down the B4040 through Acton Turville towards Castle Combe. Reason is that getting a convoy of cars out of the junction of the Tormarton road onto the B4040 is a pain, as there's usually a lot of traffic on the B4040 heading for Japfest.

Just got the purple fella a MOT this morning, looking forward to seeing you all on Sat :)

I know what you mean, but it does cut out a section of road and we can always wait on the straight just before the M4 bridge. I don't mind acting as the road block at Acton Turville;-)
