VTEC Spool valve service.

It can be done at any time without opening the engine
but it’s a MUST item due to the process for
replacing the LMA.

This NSX is using the smaller diameter solenoid so
it’s the later spec one and needs P08 series gasket set.

Replaced all six bolts for each valves as well.

New O-ring at the Oil pressure sender unit.
Another common place for the oil seepage.

Liquid gasket applied to the corner edge where it
meets the #1 and #4 cam holders and
the valve covers are now installed.

Double checked that the TB front and rear mid covers are
inserted properly to the recess of valve covers.

The rear mid cover was not installed properly during the
previous service so it already got set and didn’t perfectly
align to the valve cover at the rear end but managed to
insert it to the recess to create good seal.

Pretty much everything back in place in
preparation for the engine installation.

Torqued the crank pulley bolt to the spec
using the pulley holder.

Quickly dressed the coolant hoses, engine wires and the area
where it is difficult to reach when the engine is back in the bay.
