I don’t say it’s the same everywhere in UK but from
what I saw in the past, full service history means
almost nothing to me.

Even with lots of stamps on the service log book,
I always find lots and lots of issues on UK based NSX.

The front valve cover and the seal were not installed properly.

Addition to the WP being re-used for many years and miles,
looks like the TB tension adjuster bolt was also re-used.
The seal rubber is almost dead as well.

I hope I can loosen this bolt later....

Same story at the rear valve cover.

Not aligned properly and I already told
the owner long time ago that I could see the
TB rotating through the gap.

I need to cover this gap before washing the engine.

As seen on many NSX, the oil seepage from the valve cover gasket,
cam shaft seal disc, VTEC spool valve seal, Oil pressure sender unit, etc.

Some of them were caused by not properly cleaning the mating surface
of the gasket or not applying the liquid gasket properly at the
specified area.

These won’t be cleaned through the standard TB/WP services.

Will start washing the engine from Monday.

More to follow later.
