Doing bit of catch up updating the blog as
I have been not well recently but couldn’t
take break due to other projects.

So, the engine is out.

General inspection to get some idea on the engine condition.

Wow, it’s still using the original design WP.
Already showing the trace of coolant seepage.

Small amount is normal but it’s already hardened and
blocking the passage.
In fact, the seeped coolant tends to drip inside the TB cover
directly onto the TB and that’s why Honda changed the WP and
TB cover design later.

Interesting to see how the front valve cover gasket was
installed.
Lots of seepage from the exh cam pulley side making the
area behind the crank pulley very wet.

Probably this is also contributed to the dirt accumulated at
the right side of the front beam.

Even at this super low mileage,
quite normal to see lots of oil seepage from
the cam shaft seal disc.

Very wet at both the front and rear bank.

The seepage at the front will always makes the
front Eng mount dirty and then the air stream while
driving the car will carry the seeped oil towards the
rear along the trans case and flywheel inspection cover.

Right side of the engine bay.
Will clean it while the engine is out and replace the fuel filter as well.
