Eng Refresh Stage 1 – 04 Header

Rate this Entry

Addition to the parts came with the header,
we also prepared the following.

The owner kindly made some bracket for holding the
rear O2 sensor cable in case I need to use it depending on
the routing of the cable.

Also, addition to the C32B OEM gasket at the exhaust port,
I always recommend using the C32B OEM self locking nut
for fixing the header flange to the engine.
14 of them ordered from Japan.

The Zircotec ceramic heatshield.

Will be placed at the face of A/C compressor.
I’ll also wrap part of the header tube close to the
compressor with thermo wrapping cloth.

Although we are going to re-use the existing O2 sensor as
this NSX is at such low mileage, as my own policy,
I won’t work on the exhaust area without having access to
the spare O2 sensor so ordered these from sparkplugs.com in US.

What a sad looking OEM cast iron manifold.......
It's even worse at the rear bank.......

Hello exhaust port.

Looks like nothing hitting.

Nice shiny parts.

I’ll deal with the rear bank once the engine is out.

So, pretty much lower side of the engine is ready for
the removal of eng/gbox/sub frame assy.

Hope to take it out over the weekend.
