Drive shaft 05

While waiting for the penetrating oil to work into the seized camber bolt at the right side, worked on the Left drive shaft.

Initially, the spline at the outboard joint into the hub/knuckle was seized but managed to move it earlier this week using the hydraulic puller.

Drained the MTF and inspected the strainer at the oil pump.

Not easy to see from this photo but there were normal level of metal powder and two tiny metal particles inside the filter.

The oil smelled like Honda MTF and fairly clean so not much mileage was covered from the last clutch or MTF service.

Although there was no leakage from the trans seal, looks like someone tried a lot to take out the drive shaft last time.

Lots of marking on the trans case housing as well as on the seal.

I have the spare so can be replaced but will ask the owner.

The trigger teeth at the left drive shaft looked very clean with no corrosion.

I cleaned the inside of the hub and checked the wheel speed sensor head.

It was slightly scratched but nothing unusual.

Forgot to take the photo so will attach it later.

Time to refurbish this.

[Edit:]
As mentioned above, this is the state of the RL wheel speed sensor.

It is scratched partially so not in perfect condition but unless we monitor the actual signal with oscilloscope, hard to tell the quality of the signal with the old ABS brain.
