Same process for the rear as well.

And once again, we just caught the issue in time.
Based on what I saw in the past and this time, once again,
I would like to recommend the owners to have their brake system
overhauled regardless of the total mileage or storage conditions.

It’s your NSX so final decision is up to you but
it’s the brake system and this happened even on the
very low mileage final production model for UK market.
Do you own 04/05 NSX model? Not many in UK......

The piston at the RL side was just started to show surface pitting.
It was possible to smooth it out.

It also showed interesting polished marking.

There was no trace of debris or scratch marking on the caliper side
and there was no trace of previous service so doesn't look like
grease/compound or other issue so looks like the piston was
sitting slightly offset from the factory???

The pad and piston were engaged properly at the crossed space
and pad wear was even so it's not caused by the caliper mounting
method.

If it covered high mileage, I would simply replace it with the new
one but at such low mileage, bit of waste.
If the system has been maintained properly,
you can keep using your original pistons for ages.

Since there was no measurable difference in the diameter across
the piston and no other issues observed, it will be re-used.

Double checked the installation by activating the piston and
parking brake mechanism.

New bleeder plug for all four corners.

Calipers back in place.

Now where is my brake lines???

I don't want to empty the brake master cyl because it will take
ages to get rid of the tiny bubbles unless bench bleeding it and
we are not replacing it this time.

So, the OEM brake hoses are still connected but tied
high in the air to keep the fluid inside the master cyl.
If I want to, I can use them but then I have to bleed the
brake system one more time after replacing all four hoses.

Spoke with Goodridge and unfortunately, due to internal delay,
they won’t be able to send out the package until Wednesday afternoon.

This means that I must now cancel the booking for the
alignment service booked for Thursday and the earliest
available slot is next Monday.

I must also change the service plan accordingly as I was planning to
return this NSX over this weekend.

My boss is also leaving for Japan for her holiday so things are getting
really busy these days......

Things happen in our life.

Moving on.
