Health Check 01

Started to work on another NSX.

The service menu is to refresh the cooling system,
overhaul the brake caliper, alignment, Health Check,
crank pulley, etc.

The very rare colour, super low mileage and probably
one of the last few chassis crafted for the UK market.

While waiting for the penetrating oil to work into
the bolt/nut, started with the Health Check.

This NSX is full OBD2 spec so quick check on the
data steam using my mobile phone.
No fault code logged so far.

After checking the condition of the crank pulley,
brake system, tyre pressure, coolant, oil, etc,
carried out the test driving session before removing anything.

As reported by the owner,
there was quite annoying squeaking noise coming from the
right side forward section of the ceiling trim/liner.
If I press hard on the area in front of the sun visor,
it will stop and there are several gaps noticed around the
trim so looks like it was removed in the past and
not installed properly.

Considering the position of the security motion detect sensor,
very likely to be removed during the installation of the system.

The deteriorated seal material at the bottom of the CL reservoir.

And not surprise, the CL master cyl has just started leaking but
not dripping the brake fluid into the cabin yet.

Will wipe it off and get the parts in time for the future service.

As mentioned several times in this Blog as well as from other owners,
if you are using the aftermarket wiper blade,
please pay extra attention to its height.

You must check for enough clearance at the
passenger side wiper arm where it ‘pivots’ during the operation.

The one used on this NSX was low enough that it didn’t cause
any scratches but quite often, other models will result in
scratch marking at the back of bonnet.

Looks like the upper weatherstrip at the right side door
was removed but not re-installed properly.

It already got set so not sure whether it can be fixed by
re-installing it properly or not.
