Replaced the fixing screw at the Front Turn Signal housings.

I think some of the members posted exactly the same issue in the Forum section in the past.

Not sure why this kind of material and design were used for this screw but sooner or later, it will corrode and make your life very difficult when trying to remove the housing.

You can still replace the light bulbs (turn signal and small/parking) from the top without removing the turn signal housing if you move the headlight body out of the way but still, not ideal.

I think I should have replaced the spring plate/nut/washer (the mating part where the screw locks. Don’t know the correct name…) at the same time but for now, I’ll re-use them.

The obvious comparison of old and new one.

The screw head was just about fine but already heavily corroded everywhere.

Kaz, love your work, thank you!

I've had these on order for a while. Would think that by now, someone would have made an aftermarket pair for them. I daily drive mine and have replaced the white lights about once per year. Turn signals themselves last a while. Whats your take on them? Why they dont last (the white lights; not the headlights). I keep mine on while driving. Used to have someones DRLs (LEDs) that would activate when the white lights are enabled (also turns on rear tail lights), however that pair of turn signal assemblies got corroded as some water got in and rusted up all the LEDs inside.. thus I've had to take these assemblies a few times... noticing that I never had the screws since I got the car.

I've only had one bulb blow (sidelight) in 15 years, not a daily driver though...

I used to drive eveynight from the office but never had to replace the bulb so often although I can't remember exactly when I switched to LED bulb.
I'm now using DRL so the small/position light is disabled.
If using the traditional incandescent bulb, the vibration and the heat are the biggest factors in lifeing addition to the time being used.
Try good quality LED bulb from Philips, Osram, etc.
