Overhauling the VTEC Spool valve.








Removed the old liquid gasket and
cleaned the cam holder to this level.










Quite surprised to see the state of
the Intake Air Temperature sensor with
such super low mileage.

It was covered in sticky black/brown oil and gunk.







Cleaned it carefully to this level.

I always keep some stock of new O-ring for
this sensor so will be replaced on installation.



Will use fibre scope to see the state of the
TH butterfly plate for loose bolts.








The later spec oil press sender unit.

If you have very early model NSX,
your oil pressure gauge on the dash will
show almost 0kg/cm2 under several conditons.......




Just need to remove the old red sealant from the WP bolt thread and
then finally I can start the assembly process.



Looks like I’ll be working through the holiday season......
