Lots and lots of blowby contaminated oil inside the oil pockets.
Going to take some time cleaning the rear bank.

All of the white liquid gasket from the factory and
the black one used by the Honda main dealers in UK were
removed and cleaned to this level.

Will degrease the mating surface later just before the reassembly of
cam holder and valve cover but for now,
cleaning of front bank is nearly done.

All of the oil pockets cleaned to this level.

Removed the CRK/CYL sensor and washed the area.
Same goes for the rear bank area.

The new (top) and old (bottom) CRK/CYL sensor.
Even after the black potting melted severely,
it is very rare for the sensor itself to fail but
for Stage 2 Eng Refresh,
I’ll replace it regardless of the existing condition.

Rear bank before and after cleaned.
Rocker arms also cleaned.

Due to the flash of camera,
it looks not that dirty before but
it was more like dark brown stain than light brown.

This engine already has the latest LMA design and
all of them were still bouncy and strong.

Back of the rocker arms also cleaned.
