Removed both relays.
What a short wording to explain the delicate and time consuming tasks using
both hand and high heat........

As suspected, one of the relay contact was dead.

It fluctuated from about 5 ohm to over 34K ohm continuously/randomly but
never managed to show close to 0 ohm so the contact is burnt due
to high current.

As I noticed the trace of moisture, I also checked 8 x power MOSFET inside.
I can only check them partially unless I remove them off the board so it’s not
conclusive but they all seemed to be fine.

If some of them were broken, the driver would feel
strange behaviour when the EPS was in operation.

Some owners experienced power assist on only one side
(left or right turn) and on some cases,
they didn’t even get EPS warning light.

The representative told me that the owner didn’t experience
such thing so looked to be just standard EPS #22 failure typical
on -023 version EPS unit.

Now where is my high current capacity spec relays????
I have no idea where on earth they are flying or landed at the moment.......

I’ll mark the board so that I can drill the pilot holes in preparation for
the installation of uprated relays but I won’t be able to go any further and
I won’t drill the hole without having access to the parts.........
