Replaced the all important yet quite often missing, the seal rubber at
the timing belt adjuster bolt.

It sits on the TB lower cover around the bolt but quite often,
it is not installed properly or missing allowing the dirt/moisture getting inside the cover.

If you drive in the wet, not good because you will see lots of water marks
on the cover after driving.

Went out for the test driving session.

Activated the ABS before the tyre warms up and noticed that
the ABS pump kicked in almost every time after the wheel was locked.

Under the same driving condition, normally the pump won’t kick in until after
activating the ABS three times so once again,
this backed up my suspicion of accumulator on the go together with
more than 160cc fluid recovered during the service.

The accumulator can be replaced but for any classic ABS,
there is no guarantee that it won’t happen again and also there is a
possibility of leaky solenoid issue to come.

Upgrading to the latest spec ABS is quite expensive and unless you drive your
NSX regularly, it is hard to justify the cost so very important to keep the
existing system healthy by flushing it once a year and
exercising the ABS whenever taking the NSX out for driving.

The wind noise from the targa roof was coming from the rear section of
the door window.
It requires glass alignment but no point in doing so without replacing the old and
tired targa roof weatherstrip so something to be considered for the future.

Lots of oil seepage around the valve covers, camshaft cap and
VTEC spool valve section.

Please keep eye on the oil level because it lost some oil even
within 1,000miles.
Something to be addressed when we carry out the engine refresh next year.

Reset the ECU as I had to disconnect the battery during the service.

Washed the car but due to the rain on its way, couldn’t take the car out for
quick driving to scrape off any rusts from the brake discs so
please apply some hard braking on leaving my place.

Thank you for using my service and looking forward to meeting you and
your NSX again next year.

Regards,
Kaz
