Just a follow up for the last post.

The replacement master cyl.

And as expected, the existing one was leaking and
stripping the paint at the master power.

As it is almost impossible to apply thin coat of paint without
taking the master power cover off and
I must create good seal for the vacuum booster,
decided to clean the area as much as possible and then
coated the surrounding area with the silicone grease.

As seen in the past, I have no idea on what has been done on this NSX in
its life, I always check the pushrod clearance before installing the master cyl.

After bench bleeding the new master cyl,
installed it and ready for the pressure bleeding.

Unlike the CL master cyl, it is highly recommended to
bench bleed the brake master cyl.
Otherwise, you will be spending long time and also will waste
lots of fluid in order to get rid of tiny air bubbles.

1st round of pressure bleeding done.

Fired up the engine and checked the pedal feeling.
Felt really good but as a standard procedure,
I always carry out another bleeding session.

Before the 2nd round, flashed the ABS.

As reported at the very beginning of the service,
the area around the ABS reservoir was very wet and as expected,
the accumulator fluid was full of air.

Reservoir itself was fairly clean.

Activated each solenoids.

As I flashed the accumulator twice with the fresh fluid and then
activated each solenoid in two sessions,
the fluid at the return port was free from air so at this stage,
the accumulator is fine.

To the owner, please try to exercise the classic ABS few times
whenever driving your NSX to keep the system healthy.

If the solenoids O-rings were contaminated or the accumulator is
leaking the high pressure nitrogen gas,
I’m afraid you will need to overhaul the system or upgrade to
the latest ABS.

Not cheap though……

2nd round of brake bleeding carried out and
left the system under pressure for a few hours.

No leakage and happy with the result so another fire up and
adjusted the parking brake.

Time for the test driving session and then probably need to
adjust the idle rpm.

Done.
