The existing rear and front ones.

Although there were plenty of tread left on all four tyres,
I didn’t like the fact that they were more than 5 – 7 years old and also mixing
GY Eagle F1 GSD3 at the rear and GSD2 at the front.

During the test driving session at the time of my Health Check service,
I just didn’t feel comfortable with these tyres.
I went through so many GSD3 set over the past few years so I knew
how it should feel like.

Due to the delay in polymer coating of the brake calipers and brackets,
the owner requested me to carry out the Engine Refresh Stage 1 service.

However, based on the result of Health Check, although there were some
points in doing so,
told the owner that the tyres are much higher priority than the Engine Refresh
at this stage.

Normally, I don’t want to be involved in dealing with the wheels especially
if they were refurbished recently as it is hard to tell whether it was scratched
before/after mounting the new tyre.

Spoke with the owner and as he was happy to deal with the tyre fitter directly
in case of any scratches, we agreed to replace all four tyres.

Over the past several years, I have been using the ‘Event Tyres’ for the tyre service.

I used to buy just the tyres from ‘Camskill’ because their price was (and still) always
very good and then mounted the tyres at nearby tyre shop.

However, considering the waiting time at the tyre shop and also
not easy to monitor closely on how each wheels/tyres were handled,
started using the Event Tyres.

As same as last several years, I always remove the wheels and centre cap before
the arrival of Event Tyres people to keep both of us happy.

Before removing the existing tyres, we both double checked the existing scratches
and there was just one marking near the valve.

Yokohama Advan Neova AD-08 at all four corners.

At the same time, I also decided to replace my rear ones so six tyres in one go.

Event Tyres were offering GBP5 discount through the promotion code ‘5tweets’
on their twitter page so this will be applied for the owner as I also saved GBP5
by replacing rear ones at the same time.

As far as we can see, there was no scratches to the wheels after the service so
both of us were happy.

Hope the owner will feel the big difference when he collects his NSX.
