Now the fun begins with the brake.

This is the later spec NSX so these brake callipers meant to be in gold colour.

However, as same for most of other production cars, the factory electro plating finish won’t last for a long time and eventually, it will strip off.

The owner wanted to have it Polymer coated in gold but after talking to Bigg Red, the gold colour was only available as electro plating so we decided to go for the black finish which would be the same as the NSX-R.

I think I’m going to have lots of fun dealing with these rusty brake pipe fittings and the corroded bolts at the hose holder…….

The OEM brake hose joint was already very rusty and the corrosion was already started chewing into the rubber hose at the crimped section so didn’t feel like re-using them.

These will be replaced with the Goodridge custom made one for NSX.

There was no condensation inside the tail light assy but there was a tiny trace of silicone sealant at the top right corner of the centre piece so it is possible that someone already opened it.

Unlike the Engine Refresh service, the cam shaft cap under the #4 cam holders won’t be replaced through the standard TB service.

This will result in oil seepage from the cap area and as seen on almost all of the NSX, the front bank was covered in oil and dripping over the front engine mount then blown by the air while driving, making the flywheel cover, shift cable cover, etc coated in engine oil and debris.

However, unlike most of the NSX, the cam cap area at the rear bank was very clean backing up the fact that this NSX is at very low mileage.

There were other things to be reported but these info would be only forwarded to the owner.

Will need to go through several documents to see whether something was done on the leaky drive shaft or not and then time to remove the brake system.

More to follow later.
