Not great weather so instead of test driving session, started replacing the IG switch.

No wonder why the owner was having difficulty starting the engine or keeping the engine running.

The terminals were showing the fretting corrosion resulting in intermittent connection.

Unfortunately, there was an additional wire attached to the existing one so it was not a direct swap but after some time, managed to modify the new one and installed it.

Now the car doesn’t show any signs of power cut while slowly turning the IG key before starting the engine.
Will replace the main relay as a precaution as well.

Smelled the coolant while checking the car before going out for the test driving session.

This is the water pipe at the heater core under the bonnet and I can actually see the coolant inside the bleeder.
There was some traces of seepage around the neck of bleeder so it was at least leaking from here.

As I will be replacing all of the coolant hoses later, tried to loosen it but it just didn’t want to move at all.
I had exactly the same issue on another NSX the other day and as this is located on a fairly small aluminium pipe, I won’t be able to apply enough torque without twisting it.

Will soak the bleeder in oil overnight but if it still doesn’t move, I must replace the pipe and bleeder as a set as it won’t pass the vacuum leak check under this condition.

While looking for the cause of coolant smell, I found that the battery posi terminal was dangerously close to the battery holder.

Not only the holder bracket was installed in the wrong orientation but also it was not secured.

I found that the fixing nuts and rods were so corroded and partially cross-threaded that someone gave up and left them in this state.

The GND cable was modified in the past and seemed to be abused a lot.

I don't fancy touching this corroded quck connect battery terminal parts so next time when replacing the battery, please use the OEM battery and replace the GND cable at the same time.

After re-threading the nuts and rods, installed the holder in the right orientation and now there is enough gap between the two.

Carried out quick test driving session to check the state of the car.
