Alignment 01

Looks like someone with not much experience on NSX alignment carried out the process
in the past.

These two arrows at the rear toe control arm should be lined up otherwise, the ball
joint won’t have enough travel under certain conditions.

Loosen the lock nuts and apply silicone grease to prevent the moisture causing oxidized
corrosion inside the rod.

What a super tight self locking nut at the rear camber adjuster……

Normally, I can loosen it by just using my arm but for the first time, I had to apply
significant amount of force on both sides to just rotate it slightly.

The bolt was not seized to the metal collar of the bush so it’s just the self locking
nut seized on the thread.

I was worried about damaging or even stripping the bolt but finally, both adjusters
came off and managed to apply the silicone grease.

    Hi Kaz,

I noticed since my alignment was done locally that both the rear toe adjusters haven't been done very well. The passenger side is a little bit wrong in orientation but the driver side is really quite bad.

My NSX has the solid toe links (the inner portion) so only has arrows on the outer parts. Even so should I be able to get them to correct this free of charge? Surely they should know that the ball joint/rubber shouldn't be rotated at such a bad angle (from memory it looked at least 30° from being level).

What problems can this cause so I can tell them why it is wrong?

    Cheers

Well before heading up to North Wales for the Pancake run I managed to get them to correct this by explaining to the technician what to do. I had to kick up a bit of fuss about it not being done correct the first time and managed to get it done for free after the rather arrogant guy at the till begrudgingly went to speak to his manager.
